Dynjandi Waterfall

Dynjandi was the first of several waterfalls we visited. Iceland is known for its waterfalls, and we saw all the major ones. Dynjandi is beautiful, and the view from the falls is also lovely. Iceland doesn't fence access off the way we do in North America so you can get right up to the falls. It's quite something. Note the incredibly blue and clear skies. How lucky could we get with weather like this?

Across the from the falls

The lower falls - it was stepped up the mountain

                                                              The fjord below the falls

Testing the water temperature. Not too bad, he said.

One of very few selfies we took. We aren't very photogenic, and we were also quite frustrated with people who are oblivious to others when taking selfies.

Sorry, these are John's pictures of the falls, not in order

It was a little windy

Back to Thingeyri for lunch at Simbahollin

Back to Isafjordur for supplies (dinner!)
