Sudureyri to Dynjandi

We arrived in Sudureyri on Friday, and had Saurday free. We checked to see what we wanted to do in the area and settled on the Dynjandi waterfall. It was the right choice. Not only were the falls beautiful but the drive was gorgeous too. Big surprise, I know! Everything in Iceland is beautiful.

To get to Dynjandi you go to Thingeyri. It is a gorgeous little town. I really liked it. There is a great little coffee shop there called Simbahollin Coffeehouse, where we had lunch after seeing the falls.

And of course we hit another gravel road!

Waterfall that hides behind the tunnel

The tunnel you must drive through from Sudureyri

We are pulled off in one of the "M" turn-outs while the oncoming car passes

Yep, another gravel road!

A very remote place to live. Perhaps an Icelandic cottage?
