Selfoss - The Tiny House

We had a really busy few days planned for this area, but the first day we spent settling into our Tiny House. There aren't many bugs in Iceland, but there are flies & midges by the millions, it seems. Icelandic houses don't always have screens on the windows, so our first day in the Tiny House was spent killing a whack load of flies that had taken up residence between renters.

The Tiny House is just that, a tiny little house. We figure it was about 8ft wide and maybe 20ft long. There was a small addition for the bathroom. Unfortunately we had a flood in the shower the first time we used it. The owner responded immediately, however, and got it fixed for us. As an apology we received 6 eggs from the chickens that live on the property. Very thoughtful chickens indeed! More will come on the chickens in later posts.

The view from our house

We loved the gingerbread tiny house - maybe next time we will stay there.
