From Geysir we drove to Gullfoss. On the way in the distance we could see the Langjokull glacier. It's truly amazing. When we go back we will take the time to see it.
Gullfoss is the last waterfall we were planning to see. Gullfoss means golden waterfall, and it's called that because on sunny days a shimmery rainbow hangs over it. It is absolutely beautiful, and so powerful. As always you can get very close to the falls.
The falls from the very top. There is a path you can take all the way down to where the falls begin, maybe about .5km.
The canyon the falls drain into is so beautiful.

We were able to get right to the start of the falls. Unfortunately things went awry there...
